President
The Right Honorable Roger Nkodo DANG is a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Cameroon and has served the President of the Pan-African Parliament since May 2015 after succeeding the late Hon. Bethel Nnaemeka Amadi. He was reelected in May 2018 for another 3-year term.
He was deployed to the Pan-African Parliament for the first time in 2006; and he initially acceded to the Bureau in 2012 as First-Vice President representing the Central African Region.
During his presidency, Nkodo DANG has spearheaded an advocacy campaign for the ratification of the Malabo Protocol. Since 2015, more than 11 African Union member states have deposited instruments of ratification.
Nkodo DANG is a trained diplomat and a member of the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (CPDM), the country’s ruling party. He has been member of the Cameroonian National Assembly since 2002. He holds a Masters Degree in International Relations and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Law.
He chairs the Foresters Trade Union in Cameroon and he is also a Forrest Expert of the Congo Basin. He is an Independent Observer of the International Organization for Tropical Trees (OIBT).
